Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

That stamp again!!! :) I love this image, I have used it for this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ This weeks challenge was:
"Blue, White and a little bit of snowflake!".
I used the Penny Black image coloured it with copics, added glamour dust to give a sparkly wintry snowy feel, mounted it onto bazzil, then onto some gorgeous DCWV backing paper, and again onto matching bazzil. I then cut out a sonw flake from a sizzix die (which I brought today - could not believe my luck when they had this set in), I finished with the cute snowflake sentiment, which I stamped in Mediterranean blue by brilliance. I brought this sentiment from The Stamp boutique on EBay ages ago, however the lady who made this stamp, Sally-Ann has her own blog http://www.lovetodoodle.blogspot.com/ which links you to her fab download blog/shop. She is very talented and has a range of cute stamps available from Spiral Whisper.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge is based on a great sketch http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/.

Having coloured the below snowmen (in the below post) with copics I thought I'd have another go. This is another lovely stamp I brought at the Exeter craft fair, I love it - I love them all, lol...... I enhanced the flowers by putting glossy accents on them, so htey have a slight glimmer to them. I cut it out with nestability dies, then layered it onto silver matted card, also cut out with scalloped nestability die. I ran some matching silver card through the Divine swirls embossing folder. The silver strip across the front was also run through the dotted embossing folder, the brads are gorgeous made by papermania. The sentiment is by Pink Petticoat, mounted onto matching card cut out using a cuttlebug die.

1st Penny Black image coloured with copics.

I love this image, I brought the stamp a few weeks ago - again down in Exeter at the craft show in preparation for Christmassy creations!!! This is the first time it has seen ink, I have never coloured a Penny Black image with copics, but I broke that trend with this image, I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
I added glamour dust to the scarfs, mounted the image onto a pinky burgundy coloured card stock, then onto a pink card stock which I embossed using the snow flake cuttlebug folder from some fancy shimmery card from my local craft shop. The snow flakes are cut from a cuttlebug die.

Stamp Something challenge

This week the challenge over at Stamp Something http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ is Something for a friend. So I had this lovely Laura Ashley paper, and a gorgeous Elzybells stamp, so decided to make a simple pink and yellow card. I coloured the image with copics, blinged up the wings with glamour dust, added some gorgeous sparkly gems in the corners - must get some more of this colour! I ran a strip of yellow bazzil through a cuttlebug embossing folder, used my lovely new threading water fiskars punch which I acquired at Exeter's massive craft fair the other week, then added a craft work cards sentiment.

Double challenge

Here is a card I have made - initially just by colouring in the image, however it soon turned into a birthday card for my cousins little girl Izobel who will be 2 - next May!!!!! I'm a bit worried as I am just not that organised........... I'm sure I will make her several more by then.
This card is for Cute Card Thursday's challenge is: Lots of sparkle!
You can add bling, glitter, baubles, stickles, anything that makes your card sparkle!
http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

Also the card is for daring Card Makers is: King (or Queen) for a day, incorporate a Crown (or Tiara) somewhere upon your card!

I coloured the Sugar Nellie image with prismas and sansador, I coloured all the stars in with H2O's, added glossy accents to the tiara star, and glamour dust to the wings. I mounted the image onto some great sparkly/shimmery paper I got from the local craft shop, added a sentiment, and attached it with a small papermania brad, which is covered in tiny stars. The number is chipboard, covered in white card, smothered in glue with a dusting of glamour dust.

The picture has not come out as well as I would have liked as it is dark now, however I have added two pics, one with the flash one, one without, it shows the two tone shimmery paper off a treat!

The pic above was with the flash, and is what the papers look like, below is without the flash.

Lili of the valley challenge

Lili of the valley have started a new challenge blog http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/, so I thought it would be rude not to take part! This weeks challenge theme is WELCOME. I made a welcome baby boy card. Its not meant for anyone, but can stay in my box for now.

I used a Magnolia image, coloured it with water colours, and glittered the wings with glamour dust, I cut out the image using nesties, layered it onto white card, which had been embossed using a cuttlebug folder, I rubbed a blue brilliance ink pad over the raised dots, wrapped a ribbon round the card, added a sentiment and charm, then layered it onto matching green card stock.

I am looking forward to their second challenge - which is tomorrow. Nothing like getting your home work done by the skin of your teeth!!! lol

Spoon Full of Sugar challenge

This weeks Spoon Full of Sugar challenge is based on a sketch. http://aspoonfullofsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/
I used a Penny Black image, coloured it with prismas and sansador, mounted it onto a slightly shimmery bazzil card stock, the backing paper is DCWV which I love as it is sparkly. I used a fiskars border punch to create the pretty borders, and added prima flowers, the brads and charm - which says "made with love" are form the Exeter craft fair, I will add a sentiment to the card, when I decide who its for.

Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge

I'm hanging out for Funky Kits to release the new H & S stamps, however in the mean time I had a splurge last week at the big craft fair down in Exeter, I went on Thursday thinking it wouldn't be too busy as it's a week day, but it was heaving!!! I had fun, and spent a few pennies. Not content with the stash of Magnolias and penny Black stamps I came home with, I found myself on EBay buying 4 more, which arrived yesterday. They are all soooooooooo lovely, I'm wasting so much time just looking at my lovely new shiny bits, I've not used them yet!!! lol.

Anyway - I have also taken the plunge, and done what I said I "WOULD NOT DO", I was just not convinced by them, however, I gave in - having seen so many great cards on various blogs using the Forever Friends stamps, I have the will power of a wet Kitkat as that lasted all of 5 minutes, I am the proud owner of two!

Here is my first attempt at colouring the image, I used prismas and sansador, I'm not sure the colour is exact, but I'm not sure you will ever get it exactly the same, I mounted it onto purple card stock, ran a white bit of card through the cuttlebug swiss dots folder, mounted it onto matching purple card, wrapped some gorgeous ribbon I've had in my stash forever round the card, and added a craft work card sentiment.

The layout is based on a sketch used in this weeks Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge http://scrummystashcafe.blogspot.com/ the challenge is based on a sketch, and to use some vintage lace or edging, I don't own any lace (will have to sort that out) so I have used some old ribbon instead!
