Mojo Monday

Well I'm finding challenges all over the place, as I spend so much time blog hopping, I love it, I don't know what I used to do anymore!!!!!

Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday blog competition, which is based on a sketch. http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/06/mojo-monday-week-43.html I've used my lovely new Elzybells stamp again, I just love them, may have to pay the new web shop another visit tomorrow! I coloured the image with watercolours, and added tiny/fiddly gems to the middle of the flowers, and larger matching ones under the sentiment.

Backing Paper: Doodlebug
Die Cuts: Nestabilities
Gems: Stash
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat.

Papertake weekly challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. I found this one quite hard the challenge was a sketch, which did not appear to have an image on it! Even tough I could have done my own interpretation of it, I decided to stick with the sketch. I'm not sure as tough I like it, but thought I'd put it on anyway.

Backing paper: Pink Petticoat
Card: Stash
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
Ribbon: Stash
Flowers: Prima and stash
Brads: Papermania

Another Elzybells and another double challenge!

I love my new Elzybells stamps. Can you tell?

This card has been entered into the Saturday Sketch challenge http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2008/06/sketch-5-28th-june.html which was a sketch. I love the sketch as it was basic and easy, just how I like them!

I have also entered it into My Time To Craft blog challenge http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-20-circles.html, which has a theme of circles, the backing papers I have used are covered in circles, the one with the smaller circles on is glittered and very pretty. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder which is also covered in circles. I had to add an additional touch of sparkle, I added glamour dust to the middle of the flowers on the image, and the girls hair slide.

Sentiment: Craft Work Cards
Flowers: Prima
Brad: Dovecraft

Double Challenge

Here is a quick card I put together, it is a baby girl card. I brought this ribbon a while ago, I love it but have not used it until now. I stamped congratulations directly onto the backing paper using brilliance ink. I also agged glamourdust to the dotts on the bunnys feet and ears. I love a bit of sparkle, I think it should be compulsary.

This card is for two challenges! Firstly Sue at Slumber Cards http://slumbercards.blogspot.com/2008/06/sbs9-colour-challenge-and-blog-candy.html has set a challenge, to make a card with a pink and brown theme. Sue is giving away some blog andy as part of the challenge, as she has also reached a whopping 20,000 hits, well done Sue.

I have also entered the card into the I {heart} to stamp challenge http://iheart2stamp.com/2008/06/28/a-secret-a-sale-and-a-sketchoh-my/ The challenge is based on a sketch.

1st Elzybells card

I've inked up all my new Elzybells stamps and had a play, they all stamp so lovely...............
I did these cards last week, I would have put them on here sooner, however I had yet more technology problems!!!!! How can computers be soooooooo stressful and frustrating?! Never mind.

The first card was for the Stamp Something blog challenge, which was a sketch. http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/2008/06/sketch-something-challenge.html Here is what I came up with.

I surprised myself here as I did a girlie card in blue, I coloured it using water colours, I quite like it!

New Elzybells stamps

Horay................. Elzybells is open again, how exciting, I've been waiting ages. I placed my order Monday and they were here for me Wednesday. I had to take a pic. I love the fact you can choose unmounted or wood mounted stamps. Its brilliant, I chose unmounted which are fantastic, as it means I can spend more!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol, and whats better is its payday tomorrow. Oh no! I feel a splurge coming on.
Here is what I ordered, and Elizabeth put in a lolly, I've not pictured it, as I had it for breakfast with a cup of tea yesterday, it was lovely. x Thanks Elizabeth.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

For this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge, http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/friday-sketchers-week-7.html I've made two cards for this weeks challenge, the same Magnolia image, but different papers, hence boy/girl. I am waiting for some new baby boy/girl sentiments to arrive, I will attach them when they get here. I coloured the images in with Prismas and sansador, and glittered the wings with glamour dust. I love glamour dust, its so pretty.

For the pink card, I used silk paper to print a Pink Petticoat backing paper onto, it comes out so amazing on silk paper, and gives a more professional looking finish, like brought paper. I used cuttlebug embossing folders to add patterns to the plain cards stock.

Backing paper: Pink Petticoat

Image swap

Look what arrived for me. I did an image swap with Vicky over at Cuddly Cards. It did get here a couple of days ago, but I've only just got round to putting on a picture!

Vicky sent a lovely card wallet with loads of sugar nellie and penny black images.

Thanks again Vicky. x

If anyone else is interested in doing an image swap please get in touch, its a great way to expand your collection without breaking the bank!

Another quick card

I made this one at the same time as the last one. With a whole sheet of lovely Pink Petticoat images printed, and H20's out, whats a girl to do! lol.
I love the paper as its really shimmery, and the card also appears to have a bit of a shimmer to it, I added silver liquid pearls to the middle of the flowers.

Backing Paper: Stash

Card: DVWV

Embossing: Cuttlebug

Quick card

This is my entry into this weeks Daring Card Makers challenge http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/.
The challenge is to make a quick card which takes no more than 30 minutes to create. This one took me about 15-20 min's!
To make this card, I used:
Sentiment & image: Pink Petticoat
Backing paper: Pink Petticoat
Card: Bazzil
Colour: H20's
Embossing: Cuttlebug
Ribbon: Stash

I've been tagged!

Vicky at http://cuddlycards.blogspot.com/ who I have done a great image swap with, has tagged me! I have to answer the following questions, then pass them on.

1: WHAT WAS HAPPENING 10 YEARS AGO?
I had just done my finals at Portsmouth Uni, had moved back home, had a job to tide me over in a local swimming pool which was loads of fun, and funded my social life.

2: NAME 5 THINGS TO DO TODAY.
Walk the dog, See my friend Bex, tackle the washing mountain, fill the cupboards (otherwise it will be more junk food! ;)), and tidy up my craft space (before my boyfriend evicts me).

3: SNACKS I ENJOY
I love chocolate, crisps & dips, chips with cheese in pitta bread, garlic bread, and all things that are not particularly healthy. As soon as I sort myself out and get on a health kick, I will be a changed person!!!!!!

4: THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WERE A MILLIONAIRE
Once I had paid off the special people in my life's mortgages and credit cards. I would give up work, become a lady of leisure, do lunch with friends every day, have a personal fitness trainer, do Pilate's, go on lots of lovely holidays, get my dog a playmate, buy a brand new Audi TT in gun metal grey from my friend who works for Audi, and get a personal number plate, should I get board with lunching etc (as if) I would set up an Internet craft shop from my spare room.

5: PLACES I HAVE LIVED
Gosport & Southsea, Scotland, Cornwall, & settled in Somerset, what can I say, I'm from a forces family.

I have to pass this onto 5 more people, I have decided to tag people who's blogs I love to visit, and don't appear to have been tagged recently. They are:
Sally-Ann at http://www.lovetodoodle.blogspot.com/.
Bev at http://bevscrafts.blogspot.com/.
Becky at http://rebeccaclews.blogspot.com/
Terri at http://terriebaileys.blogspot.com/ &

Mojo Monday

Well I'm on a bit of a role! Whilst blog hopping today I came across Mojo Monday, http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2008/06/mojo-monday-week-42.html, I decided to have a go at their challenge, I got a bit carried away with my stickeroos tonight. The challenge was a layout, I enjoyed doing this one. I think its a nice pretty girly card. The paper is glittered, and I attached the image and the sentiment using 3d foam.

Penny Black & Arty Girlz Competitions

This week the challenge set by the Penny Black Saturday Challenge team was friendship, http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-2-friendship.html I have made this card for my boyfriend's Nan who will be 80 something in the week.
I'm not sure it counts as I've used a hedgy stickeroo, and not a stamp, but it's still Penny Black. I've embossed the card with a cuttlebug folder and stuck sparkly gems in the middle if the flowers.
I took the photos late, so they have not come out to well! The smaller flower is a lovely rich dark blue colour.

Proud puppy Mummy

I have just been and visited Suzanne's blog, http://slumbercards.blogspot.com/
she is running a competition using a pink & brown theme. I love this colour scheme, your design can be anything as long as the colour scheme is used. I already have some lovely ribbon in mind I brought a while ago.

Suzanne also had some really cute pictures of her little puppy on her blog, who is absolutely gorgeous. I thought I would share some pics of my little boy Mac - who is my baby, he keeps me incredibly busy! lol. He is a Cavalier king Charles spaniel.

This is Mac on the day we brought him home, so tiny & cuddly.

1st bath - not a happy puppy, I shampooed and conditioned him! In case you were wondering, he has a white blemish on his nose, its not a "boogie"!!!! Don't listen puppy. lol

A cold wet day on Kilve beach.

Gravy bones must be up for grabs here!

Some peace at last.

Pretty pink flowers

Here is my little card for 2 challenges:

Ive used my latest Penny Black stamp - which I love, water colours to give a two toned pink look, and glittered the middle of the flowers. It has not shown up very well, I placed a strip of white angel paper/mesh approximately one inch from the bottom of the card it finishes just above the white velvet ribbon. I thought this would add texture, and give an added dimension to the card.

Firstly I have entered this into the Stamp Something Challenge blog, this weeks theme was monochromatic. Initially I thought black and white, but when I reread it and looked at the other entry's, I realised I could use a colour, with one other colour, white, ivory or black. Well I stamped the image in black! I also used white and pink! http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/

Secondly I have entered the card into Cute Card Thursday's blog challenge. This challenge No 15: is brilliant, its to make a birthday card. I love challenges like that! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

Baby boy Magnoia

Here is a baby boy card I put together, the papers are really pretty as they are glittered, I also added glamour dust to the dots in the ears and bottoms of the feet of the rabbit. Anything to add a bit of sparkle! lol. x

More technical probs..............late entry's.......

Well just as I thought I had got over my technical problems, we get a fault on the BT line!!!!! Turns out someone at the exchange linked our line as a new broadband for someone else's!!!!!!!!! Oh well, never mind. As a result I didn't manage to get some of my entry's in on time, but I thought I'd post them anyway.

I'm back.................... & Thankyou.............

I'm back, I have not been around for a while due to a combination of being poorly :( being away, and most frustratingly having blog/computer problems. Fingers crossed all is now resolved, and should return to normal.

Also I would like to say a very big thankyou to everyone who has taken the time to leave such lovely feedback on my creations, it is very much appreciated.

Hope the sun is shining where you are. x
