Princess Elzy

I am addicted to the Elzybells stamps, they are all so lovely. Here is my latest!
I used a sketch I saw on the Page Plans blog to create this card, I am also entering it into this weeks Dutch Dare
http://dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/, where the challenge is to make a card for a girl.
I coloured the image with copics, added glamour dust for some bling! Ran the base card through the big shot using a cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment is also Elzybells, the sentiment and image were cutout using nesties. The swirl is cuttlebug. The patterned paper is Laura Ashley.

Purple Pink Petticoat bath

I am so in love with my Pink Petticoat images at the mo! Here is yet another. I coloured it with copics, added glamour dust (again to make the bubbles look sparkly). The sketch is based on this weeks Paper Minutes sketch ttp://paperminutes.blogspot.com/. I will also be entering it into Our Creative Corner's challenge, the theme for the week is Birthday. http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/
I cut the image out using nesties, embossed some green card using a cuttlebug embossing folder, added some small pretty purple flowers, some prima flowers, sequins and a brad, then finished it off with a craft work card sentiment.
I will take another photo in better lighting, as it is quite vibrant, however it looks quite washed out in due to poor light. x

CCT In the water

This week CCT http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ has a theme of:

In the water!
"As always a little flexibility is allowed in the theme, it can be in, on or beside water and the water can even be frozen i.e. snow or ice! We always look forward to your own interpretations!"

I saw this challenge, and immediatly knew what image I was going to use - does not happen very often! lolo. I have used a Pink Petticoat image (I've re found these little beauties over the past few days!), coloured the image with copics, cut it out with nestabilities, added glamour dust as the bubbles in the bath. The backing paper is K & Co, ribbon is from Hobbycraft, I used a sizzix die to cut out some swirls using bazzil card stock. Prima flowers, and sparkly papermania brads. To finish an Elzybells sentiment, mounted onto green bazzil. I mounted the image to the card using 3D foam pads.

Saturday Sketch Challenge

Here are two cards I made for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ , one of which is a Christmas card. I think they are now to late to enter, but thought I would show anyway.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

The first one is a Happy Birthday card, I used a Pink Petticoat image and coloured it with chalks, for the bubbles in the bath, I used glamour dust (so brilliant this stuff - it seems to also last forever!) I cut it out using oval nestabilities, added a Elzybells sentiment, some prima flowers and a woodware brad. The base of the card was embossed using a cuttlebug folders, and I also added some embossed straight lines.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

The second card is again based on the sketch, using a Christmas theme. The image is Magnolia, coloured with prismas and sansador, glamour dust added to the wings, backing papers by DCWV and papermania, sentiments are doodlebug.

SBS 23

Hello fellow SBS 23 ladies. Firstly my name is Sally, I didn't realise I didn't have my name anywhere on here! lol. So big apologies, I didn't realise I could be so aloof without even trying! I'm so excited to be a part of this group.

I will do my best to get to visit you all each week (life/work sometimes gets in the way), as blog hopping is now one of my favourite hobbies, I lose hours and hours, but all pleasurable.

I have always been crafty, over the years I have dabbled in most things. About 2 years ago I found myself buying a TSV card making kit from QVC. However I didn't use it, it was all so lovely I just looked at it!!!!!!!!!!!!! and brought loads more bits and pieces I also looked at!!! What am I like. I decided enough was enough, I heard someone say, you can always buy more, so from that point on there was no looking back.

I have tried many a different techniques, however love stamping, combined with stunning papers, flowers and sparkles, there is normally some element of sparkle to my designs.

A small bit about me, I'm 31 live with my lovely boyfriend Adam who is a Royal Marine, (I'm so proud of him), our two old old cats, and a hyperactive puppy. I work full time, 24/7 shifts - the joy. So get messy when I can.

I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Sally. x

Fresh and Fun Challenge

Whilst blog hopping - yet again, I came across this challenge, on the Fresh and Fun http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ the site has not been active for a few weeks, so I was really happy to see all is fit and well again. The challenge is a layout, so whats a girl to do on a cold wet Saturday afternoon, when no one's about???
So here is my card, I used a Magnolia image, water coloured it, then added some shimmery stargazer paints, it was attached to the card using 3D foam pads. I got out some pastel bazzil card, and embossed it using cuttlebug embossing plates. I used sparkly DCWV papers which are so pretty, some prima flowers, woodware brads, and a stampendous sentiment. I also added glamour dust to the wings. A girl has to sparkle ;)

Whilst blog hopping yesterday I came across Carol's blog. She has lots of lovely designs and cards on there and a challenge. http://carolspaperplayce.blogspot.com/
I needed to make a card for a lady I'm doing a friendship card swap with over on DoCrafts. I saw this layout and thought it was perfect. Here he is again............Puppy Mac

Well I could not resist sharing more pics of my little boy Mac with you. Yes I am far to fond of him, and refer to him as my baby!!! I just love him to bits.
These pics were taken Friday evening, after we took Mac to Steart beach, he ran and ran and ran, after sheep, dandilions and what ever took his fancy, so he was particually tired. Which was great for us. Mac loves his cuddles, hes such a cuddly boy.

My boys together, on my new fluffy hot pink dressing gown!

Another Triple Challenge

Wow, I've done it again. I don't intentionally stack challenges up into one card, I just some times need some added inspiration with layouts etc, so I use a layout from one challenge, with the theme of another challenge or 2! lol Happy days.............
This card is for Cute Card Thursday, where the theme was soft furnishings. http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

And finally a challenge I stumbled across this week whilst spending many an hour blog hopping Dancing in Pyjamas where the theme was Happy Birthday. http://iheart2stamp.com/2008/08/12/easy-inspiration/#comments, I think I am late for the challenge, as it is an American blog, but what the heck!!! lol
I made this card using a stamp from the Stamp Boutique, which is great for the CCT challenge of soft furnishings, I also used some Doodlebug flock to give texture to the froth on the beer. I coloured the image with copics, mounted it onto bazzil, and embossed the second layer of bazzil using a cuttlebug folder. I them sanded off some of the embossed pattern to give extra texture to the card. I used K and Co backing paper.

Triple Challenge

Here is a card which fits 3 of this weeks challenges.

Firstly Penny Black Saturday Challenge, who's theme is Ribbons. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

Friday Sketchers Challenge http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/

Funky Fairy's Challenge, which is celebration. http://funkyfairychallenge.blogspot.com/

I used a Penny Black stamp, and water coloured it, I filled the centre of the flowers with stickles glitter glue. I wrapped ribbon around the coloured image and attached it to bazzil, then mounted it onto pink petticoat backing paper. Finally I added a craft work cards sentiment.

More quick cards

Hoary Ivor the postman delivered my goodies, so wasting no time, I got busy making another Elzy. I've got these copics (which are lethal, I buy one or two every time I go into town) so it's easier than ever to whip up a card in no time (while watching loose women, I love that program).

Hello Elzy

Stampendous Monkey's

Stamp Boutique

This is a lovely stamp, I brought amongst others from an EBay shop called Stamp Boutique. The shop is owned by Sally-Ann, check out her blog http://www.lovetodoodle.blogspot.com/

CCT Challenge

I coloured it with copics and it took no time at all :) The dog is really sweet (I've just ordered a new stash, including some sentiments, as I appear to be lacking them) I mounted the image onto the card using 3d foam. Ive just realised there is no real added sparkle by myself to this card - which is a first! lol Please excuse the backgraund in the picture, we are having our carpets cleaned downstairs, so I have taken the picture on the landing, which over looks the garages at the back of the house, shame there is no sunshine today!

I have entered this card into this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge, as it fits the theme!!! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

"This week the theme is 'The two of us'
We would like you to use two of something on your card, it could be 2 people, 2 animals or 1 of each, we love to see your own interpretation as always!"
