Introducing my little lady

Well as promised here is a pic of my little lady Emmie. My bundle of wonderful. I am the proudest Mummy in all of Somerset, she is such a feisty little fighter and amazes me every day. She is 10 weeks old now weighing 5lb 15, she was born 9 weeks early, and has been through soooooo much.

I'm sure your asking whats wrong with her hair?! Having spent 5 weeks in intensive/special care she was coming home. Two days before coming home she developed an infection which resulted in her being transferred to Bristol hospital where she had emergency stomach surgery, as she was nil by mouth for 10 days, she had to be fed through a long line (a tube that gos into the vein, better than a cannula), as all her veins had had enough, the last place to get a vein was her head! hence the hair cut! However it is not a big deal as it will grow back, and I would rather have her minus a bit of hair than not have her at all.

Get well soon

Apologies for the dodgy piccy - that time of year is rapidly approaching again, I have noticed the nights are starting to draw in, and the days have been dark : ( I will try and remember to take a better pic tomorrow.

I have made this card for a friend at work who has been really poorly with pneumonia, the poor old love is now at home with a zimmer frame (I can imagine the stick he is getting lol). Yes its a card for a fella, I hope he likes the sparkly blue butterfly - its about as masculine as I could so! lol.... I'm so glad to hear he is on the mend as it was touch and go for a while, and he is never ill.

I saw this sketch a few weeks ago on a challenge blog, and drew it on a post it and stuck it in my pro markers box as I knew I would use it, thank god for post its - they make my world go round! Sad but true...... lol.

Anyway to make this card I used some turquoise card from my stash, stamped a sentiment ran it through the big shot with the dotted cuttlebug folder, then cut a strip of DCWV sparkly yummy paper, created a boarder with a Mather Stewart border punch, and cut a butterfly with another of Marther Stewarts butterfly punches. Then added the sparkly gems to finnish.

I really enjoyed making this card, I have a number of thank you cards to get out for baby gifts, so I am thinking I will make some using this layout only in good old pink!

I am going to enter this card to the following challenges:

Flutterby Wednesday: Butterfly, fairy or angel
Crafty Creations: Butterfly's
Charizma: Die Cuts
Crafty Angels: Something Old, Something New. Old = DCWV papers, new = butterfly punch & embossing folder
Secret Crafter: Blue & Cream
My Time To Craft: Glitter & Glitz
Cupcake: Blue & Green

Stamposaurus Princesses

I'm on a role...... 3 cards in 3 days! Here is a card I used with one of my Stamposaurus stamps I splurged on at a craft fair a few months back, but it has never seen ink (so very rude) lol.....
I coloured it with pro markers, and added lashings of glitter.

Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday, mine has been rather boring - house work ruled the day I'm afraid! Boo, at least I'm on top of it now.

I will post a pic of the girlie soon, those lovely peeps in the hospital shaved her head, and as great as they are at the medical stuff, there was not a lesson in hair cutting! lol She looks a bit like cage fighter Chuck Liddell at the mo, all be it with out the tattoos. lol

Another Elzy-sheep!

Well nothing from me for ages then two in two days! lol...... and I have a couple more half done, hoping my mojo has returned, and now we are a bit more settled I can enjoy spending the bit of spare time I have being creative.

Here I used the same Elzybells image as in the previous post, coloured with promarkers, added some diamond glaze to the cups and hats, they are super shiny but the camera in the dodgy dark light did not pick it up. The pretty sparkly paper is DCWV, the card is from my stash (I have decided I have so much yummy card, I really should use it and not just look at it - I can always buy more, right?) The gems are papermania.

A card at long last.......

Whilst my little lady was soundo, I thought I would take the opportunity to get into me new craft room! I thought I would have been spending most of the last 4 weeks in there waiting for her to put in an appearance, however she had other ideas! lol........

Anyways, here is a card I made with my Elzybells stamp, which I coloured with promarkers, and then washed a glitter pen over the hats and cups for a bit of sparkly bling, I mounted the image onto DCWV sparkling paper, then card from my stash, with a craftwork cards sentiment.

I an entering it into the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious: Sketch
ABC: Blue
Stampin For The Weekend: Anything goes
Whoopsie Daisy: Blue & Green
Papercutz: Anything goes.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

So much to catch up on............

OMG................. So much has been going on in blog land since I have been away! I sat down after having had the nicest shower of my life and I've not moved, all I've done is blog hopped, drooled, and a bit of Internet shopping! Whoops - nice things to arrive when we hopefully bring the little lady home next week. Passion for promarkers blog challenge has some amazing candy, and good old Crafty Emma, has not only gone and set herself up a fantastic shop, but is also looking for a design team, well done Emma - best of luck to you, hope all goes well. x

Thank you & Emmie update

Hello,
Sorry I have not been around again of late, and not gotten back in touch with everyone who have been so kind in sending such lovely messages, they have all been very much appreciated and I am overwhelmed at the support and kindness that has been shown.
We have not been home much in the past 9 weeks, Emmie was due to come home a couple of weeks ago, then 2 days before got a nasty infection. As a result she was transferred to Bristol (on the day she was supposed to come home) for an emergency life saving operation, my poor little lady had developed NEC - I would not wish it on anyone. 2 weeks on she has started feeding again and continues to amaze us everyday.
Without trying to tempt fate, I've come home tonight to collect the pram/car seat from the pram centre tomorrow as the "H" word was mentioned today with the hope of it being next week, and should the magical day finally arrive I want to be ready!
When I go back tomorrow I'm going to take a wad of images and me pro markers and colour away, I've missed crafting loads recently and cant wait to get back to it, I went to a craft fair not long before she arrived and I have some uninked rubber - now that's just wrong! lol......
Looking forward to visiting you all soon and getting back to some kind of normality.
Hope life is treating you kind.
Sally. x
