Spring is in the air

Hello, what a lovely sunny day it has been here in Somerset today, the sun shone all day and gave us a taste of summer, I do hope its a good one.

Well I have managed to make a couple of cards, which I throulghly enjoyed doing.
I made this card for my friend Sascha who has been in a car accident, she is super fit, and I can imagine she is climbing the walls with a broken collar bone and sore knee! It's a good job she is a tough cookie.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: Anything Go's.
Penny Black Allsorts: Welcome Spring.
Sir Stampalot: Spring is in the air.
Cute Card Thursday: Signs of spring.
Fab n Funky: Spring into action.

To make this card I used a Penny Black image, coloured with water colours with glamour dust on the stamens, the papers are Pink Petticoat and sparkly gems.

Sun glasses required

lol...... I forgot how much I love putting bold bright colours together, like purple and orange!

I have used a Penny Black stamp I brought ages ago, and loved love loved it as soon as I saw it - then it never saw ink! Shameful or what? Oh well I changed that this afternoon! I stamped her out several times so I will probably colour her in in a load of different combos, so hope not to bore everyone with her. then decoupage the flower, added loads of lovely glamour dust to her wings, and mounted her onto some bazill, having punched the edges with a yummy Mather Stewart border punch, I also mounted the craft work cards sentiment onto a punched circle and punched scalloped circle.

Hope you have all had a good weekend, we managed to do some gardening this weekend! Exciting or what? Counting down the days until the Exeter craft fair : ) but the decisions do I take the pushchair attachment or the pram? What ever happened to what shoes/bag shall I wear?! lol...

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black at Allsorts: Punches - they also have a DT call (good luck)
Allsorts Challenge: Punches
Corrosive Challenge: Clean & dust something off = stamp
Cute Card Thursday: Tweet & flutter - bird.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

This weeks theme over at Cute Card Thursday http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ is any theme - so I used one of Sally-Ann's downloads available from http://grab-a-doodle-do.blogspot.com/, I coloured her with pro markers, cut out with nesties, the shimmery paper is gorgeous it came from Hobby Craft, it is lovely but didn't like being cut out with the nesties!!! Backing paper from my stash, as is the ribbon and gems.

Duuble Challenge

This week over at Cute Card Thursday the theme is Lilac. I thought I had more lilac bits & pieces than I do - but never mind I got there in the end. I have used the sketch which is the challenge over at Simply Fairy's. I love this sketch and am sure to be using it again.
I have used the gorgeous Angels downloads by CC Designs, coloured her with pro markers, added glamour dust to her wings. I cut the image out with nesties, added a doodle border. The swirly paper is Pink Petticoat, its really lovely when printed onto silk paper. The circle dots are from craft work cards as is the sentiment.
Looking at teh card now, I should have run the base layer through the big shot with an embossing folder - never mind - will do next time. x

Cute Card Thursday

Continuing on the pink/purple theme, and again using those gorgeous sparkly new pro markers, I have coloured a panduro image, splodged loads of stickles an the snow flakes and bobble on top of the hat, cut it out using nesties, and layered it onto DCWV winter Christmas paper, the card is bazzil. The gorgeous lovely snowflakes are ribbon I brought down in Exeter a few weeks ago.
This card is this weeks entry to Cute Card Thursday, where the theme is Snow & snow flakes. http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

Another Triple Challenge

Wow, I've done it again. I don't intentionally stack challenges up into one card, I just some times need some added inspiration with layouts etc, so I use a layout from one challenge, with the theme of another challenge or 2! lol Happy days.............
This card is for Cute Card Thursday, where the theme was soft furnishings. http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

And finally a challenge I stumbled across this week whilst spending many an hour blog hopping Dancing in Pyjamas where the theme was Happy Birthday. http://iheart2stamp.com/2008/08/12/easy-inspiration/#comments, I think I am late for the challenge, as it is an American blog, but what the heck!!! lol
I made this card using a stamp from the Stamp Boutique, which is great for the CCT challenge of soft furnishings, I also used some Doodlebug flock to give texture to the froth on the beer. I coloured the image with copics, mounted it onto bazzil, and embossed the second layer of bazzil using a cuttlebug folder. I them sanded off some of the embossed pattern to give extra texture to the card. I used K and Co backing paper.

CCT Challenge

Here is a quick card I made using my Elzybells stamps - which I love. I coloured it with copics and it took no time at all :) The dog is really sweet (I've just ordered a new stash, including some sentiments, as I appear to be lacking them) I mounted the image onto the card using 3d foam. Ive just realised there is no real added sparkle by myself to this card - which is a first! lol Please excuse the backgraund in the picture, we are having our carpets cleaned downstairs, so I have taken the picture on the landing, which over looks the garages at the back of the house, shame there is no sunshine today!

I have entered this card into this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge, as it fits the theme!!! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

"This week the theme is 'The two of us'
We would like you to use two of something on your card, it could be 2 people, 2 animals or 1 of each, we love to see your own interpretation as always!"

I used the layout on this weeks Penny Black Challenge to make the card. Here is what I came up with. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/
Apologies for the poor image, I (as per usual) waited for it to get dark before taking a picture - I must stop doing this. lol.

Another double challenge

Here is a card I made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and Cute Card Thursday Challenge.

This week the Penny Black theme is pink, brown & green. I used my newest Penny Black stamp, I water coloured it, added some good old stickles to the middle of the flowers. I ran some white card through a cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed some metallic pink brilliance ink over it. I also ran the darker pink card through the swiss dots embossing folder, as the card was white in the middle I rubbed the tops of the dots off. I then used brown spotted ribbon, and some lovely sparkly gems to finish it off. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-3-colour-challenge.html
The Cute Card Thursday Challenge was no patterned paper, however you could make your own. I thought this was going to be really difficult, however once I got going, it just happened! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-16.html
