Engagement Card(s)

My boyfriend's Mum got engaged on her birthday last weekend, so my boyfriend asked me to make her and her hubby to be a card. So I did, I got a bit carried away and made 5!!! So he has a selection to chose from.
I wanted to make something simple and pretty, they are pretty much the same - just a little bit different, I printed the sentiments out in different colours, just to see how they came out, I think that's why I made 5, I cut them out with nesties. I used various cuttlebug embossing folders, and found my stash of gems (my gem mountain), and my lovely new oh so sparkly ribbon.

Here they are.......

Another double challenge

Here is a card I made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and Cute Card Thursday Challenge.

This week the Penny Black theme is pink, brown & green. I used my newest Penny Black stamp, I water coloured it, added some good old stickles to the middle of the flowers. I ran some white card through a cuttlebug embossing folder and rubbed some metallic pink brilliance ink over it. I also ran the darker pink card through the swiss dots embossing folder, as the card was white in the middle I rubbed the tops of the dots off. I then used brown spotted ribbon, and some lovely sparkly gems to finish it off. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-3-colour-challenge.html
The Cute Card Thursday Challenge was no patterned paper, however you could make your own. I thought this was going to be really difficult, however once I got going, it just happened! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2008/06/challenge-16.html

Double Challenge

Here is a quick card I put together, it is a baby girl card. I brought this ribbon a while ago, I love it but have not used it until now. I stamped congratulations directly onto the backing paper using brilliance ink. I also agged glamourdust to the dotts on the bunnys feet and ears. I love a bit of sparkle, I think it should be compulsary.

This card is for two challenges! Firstly Sue at Slumber Cards http://slumbercards.blogspot.com/2008/06/sbs9-colour-challenge-and-blog-candy.html has set a challenge, to make a card with a pink and brown theme. Sue is giving away some blog andy as part of the challenge, as she has also reached a whopping 20,000 hits, well done Sue.

I have also entered the card into the I {heart} to stamp challenge http://iheart2stamp.com/2008/06/28/a-secret-a-sale-and-a-sketchoh-my/ The challenge is based on a sketch.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

For this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge, http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/2008/06/friday-sketchers-week-7.html I've made two cards for this weeks challenge, the same Magnolia image, but different papers, hence boy/girl. I am waiting for some new baby boy/girl sentiments to arrive, I will attach them when they get here. I coloured the images in with Prismas and sansador, and glittered the wings with glamour dust. I love glamour dust, its so pretty.

For the pink card, I used silk paper to print a Pink Petticoat backing paper onto, it comes out so amazing on silk paper, and gives a more professional looking finish, like brought paper. I used cuttlebug embossing folders to add patterns to the plain cards stock.

Pretty pink flowers

Here is my little card for 2 challenges:

Ive used my latest Penny Black stamp - which I love, water colours to give a two toned pink look, and glittered the middle of the flowers. It has not shown up very well, I placed a strip of white angel paper/mesh approximately one inch from the bottom of the card it finishes just above the white velvet ribbon. I thought this would add texture, and give an added dimension to the card.

Firstly I have entered this into the Stamp Something Challenge blog, this weeks theme was monochromatic. Initially I thought black and white, but when I reread it and looked at the other entry's, I realised I could use a colour, with one other colour, white, ivory or black. Well I stamped the image in black! I also used white and pink! http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/

Secondly I have entered the card into Cute Card Thursday's blog challenge. This challenge No 15: is brilliant, its to make a birthday card. I love challenges like that! http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

More technical probs..............late entry's.......

Well just as I thought I had got over my technical problems, we get a fault on the BT line!!!!! Turns out someone at the exchange linked our line as a new broadband for someone else's!!!!!!!!! Oh well, never mind. As a result I didn't manage to get some of my entry's in on time, but I thought I'd post them anyway.

3 Hedge's.
This card was for last weeks Paper Take Weekly blog competition. It was a layout design. http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/2008/06/katharinas-sketch-4.html

Here is my entry for the Friday Sketchers challenge. I used my new to me Magnolia stamp I won on EBay. So the perfect opportunity to make a baby girl card. I used my Nestabilities to cut out a matt to stamp the image onto. The papers are sparkly, and I have glittered the wings, but it does not show up very well in the picture.
