Ggggrrrrrrrrrr scheduled posting

I'm so so so sorry for the delay in this post! Trust me to try to be organised, I clearly did not do it right - and not to self must check scheduled post on day of post! (wrist well and truly slapped!)

At Charisma this week we have a great challenge set, the theme is NEW YEAR, we have some fabby sponsors and great prizes as always, so please come and join in.

Sorry about the dodgy lighting, I really enjoyed making this card, I used my Trixie alphabet dies, which I have had stashed for ages, and they cut through the glitter card lovely, the papers are yummy too from DCWV.

Thanks for dropping by. xxx

EBay Sale

(Sorry cant get this pic the right way round) I brought this bad boy a couple of weeks ago at a craft fair - and nearly wet my pants!!! Sorry to much info - but I had had had to have it, it is rather amazing! I don't really want to sell it but its just stayed in the box since I go it home as good old life just gets in the way! So good old boring common sense tells me I don't really need it, I have battled with myself since these thoughts begun! lol.
Anyway its on EBay along with 3 sets of dies, I'm open to sensible offers and happy for buyer to collect, I will also be listing 3 sets of Stampin Up markers in the next couple of days all brand new.

Thursday, 9 December 2010

Hello, I'm so sorry for being such a bad bad blogger of late! I've been here there and everywhere with my little girl (mostly hospital appointments for one reason or another) but fingers crossed we have a date for the op and fingers crossed it will just be the regular checks all preemies have until they need to go no more!

Anyway - this weeks challenge had me stumped! So after a lot of thought of things I could make and use! I came up with Christmas day favour box's, I know the pic looks a bit boring, and if I had thought about it better and was not racing against time to meet the deadline, I would have taken a pic of inside the box, so much more interesting, full of retro sweets, flying saucers, jelly beans, love hearts, white mice, bon bons candy sticks and so on, a little box of yummy fun, so I have a few more to make they will all be made from diffrent sheets out of the same stack of yummy sparkly paper.

I cant believe I found this so hard as we sell laser cut favour box's on our website, I couldn't have cheated that bad tough and used on of these! We are about to re brand in the new year, as we have outgrown our current name and it does not do our biz any favours as we have sooooooooooo much more to offer.

Hope its not to cold where you are. xxx

Penny Black Fairy

Afternoon, hope your all well, and your homes are all ok with these bad winds we have been having, were keeping everything crossed our house, fence panels stay in place. Last year at our old house we had a huge trampoline find its way over the fences into our garden - wernt we lucky? : ) shame it belonged to the little girl a couple of doors down lol, it safely made its way home.

Anyway onto today's card. No surprises another Penny Black image, coloured with promarkers and glamour dust to the wings. The card stock is all coordination's, sentiment is from craft work cards, those little sparkly gems are like mirrors, they are lovely, I don't know what shop they are from as I brought them at a craft fair.

Is anyone going to the craft fair at Taunton on Sunday??? I'm in two minds at the mo! (Cant believe I'm saying that out loud! lol)

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Truley scrumptious: Sketch & Happy Birthday (optional)
Delightful challenge: Glitter
Moving along with the times: Nice & bright
Crazy 4 challenges: Square card.

Charisma Cardz DT - Sympathy

Morning all, hope you are well. I'm wearing my poppy with pride today, may all our lost hero's rest in peace.

Anway's onto a brighter note, I cant believe it's Thursday again already which means Charisma Challenge day, this week the theme is Sympathy, I again initially found this one quite hard, as I wanted one of those gorgeous scrolly sentiments saying something about sympathy. So I graced every single craft shop in the area, came away from each one with no said stamp, but a few pounds lighter! lol....

To make I used, Penny black image coloured with big & juicy, all card from stash, fiskars border punch, and the sentiment is one from a good old Penny Black transparent set. I also heat embossed the image &sentiment with clear powder.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T - Colour combo
Cute Card Thursday - Anything goes
One Stop - Embossing

Real swarovski's....

Yes this card is sporting some real sparkly bling! I brought these ages and ages ago for something I had to have, and never got round to it! As you do!!! lol So I decided they were far to pretty to be sat in a draw, so out they came.
A Spoonful of sugar: Relish to embellish.
My time to craft: Quick & cute
Yo make I used flower punches, Penny Black sentiment, clear embossing powder, gorgeous swarovski crystals.

Good Luck to anyone trying to get Take That tickets later this morning. x

EBay Sale

I have decided to be ruthless! If I have it, have not used it or do not use anymore, its neglected and in serious need of TLC! So I am in the process of listing some lovely craft stash on EBay. So far there are some brand new packaged stamps Stampin Up! from Lili of the valley, and some Gorjuss Girls from Funky Kits, they are on 3 day listings, so if your in the market for some go take a peek! I will be listing brand new Stampin Up markers and more stamps over the weekend.

Charisma Cardz DT

Another week! Where is time going?! Well we have spent most of the last week at various hospitals/doctors with the little lady in prep for her op next year - fingers crossed all is heading in the right direction!

Anyway in the mean time it's Thursday again, which means it Charisma Cardz Challenge again already!

This week the theme is to make a matching pair of things! You choose, and we cant wait to see what you create. There are some fab prizes up for grabs as well, so go take a peek.

Here is what I made, and in good old Sally style I dropped the box, had chocolate balls everywhere, and it all popped apart! Typical, but never mind hay?! I had to chuckle and chase the chocs before my dog helped to pick them up!

To make I used various punches, Papermania card stock, ribbon & sparkly gems from my stash, versa mark ink, clear embossing powder, acetate, Penny Black sentiment, and some lovely chocolate balls.

Sweet Bar! Yummy

Hi, hope you all had a lovely weekend, here's what we did yesterday! We showcased our sweet bar (pink and white version), the latest addition to Balloon Boutique! It went down a storm at the wedding fair, so hopefully the bookings will start rolling in. I am so impressed as there are so many organised girls out there who are not getting married until 2012 and they are getting sorted right now! Wow, only wish I could be that organised! We planned ours in 4 months! I'm sure I would have been doing the wedding fair rounds tough if we had been panning so far in advance. It was so lovely to see so many happy excited ladies.

We were at Bicton House, Devon, and the sun shone through the windows all day long - it was lovely. x

Charisma DT - Vintage

Bad bad blogger! I lost the will with it yesterday, so my sincere apologies for the late post.
This weeks challenge at Charisma the theme is 'VINTAGE' there are some great prizes up for grabs so head on over and take a look.
I have to admit, I struggled with this one a bit, but I thought traditional, the paper is DCWV and has vintagy style writing, I put diamond glaze over the NOEL even tough you cant see it! I ran the red card through the big shot in a cuttlebug folder.

1st Charisma DT card

Here it is my very 1st DT card for Charisma..................... This weeks theme is
CHRISTMAS CRAFTING.
Can you believe there is only 12 weeks to go? (Scary!)
This weeks challenge is sponsored by SallyAnn over at DigiStamp Boutique

For this card I have used a Penny Black image, I stamped it with versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is one I brought from SallyAnn yonks ago when she had her EBay shop. I mounted it onto matted silver mirri card and embossed the spotted card with a cuttlebug folder.

Cant believe I am posting this soooooooooooo late today, I am absolutely cream crackered, my feet have not touched the ground since last Wednesday! I could do with some wee earned R & R, however little lady has decided cat napping is the way forward! lol

Well I'm pooped and off to bed, Bristol Children's Hospital is one manic place! Then big job on this afternoon, and baby has it about her! Bless.
So I'm off for some zzzzzzzzz before it all starts again. Then another hospital trip in the morning - bright and early! Why are they always early? lol
Will post a link to my EBay when its all listed. x

Party Animals.

My name is Sally, and I am a Penny Black Addict! lol I made this card earlier in the week, but was in two minds weather to put it on here or not due to the dodgy sentiment stamping! Oh well, never mind, I like the image to much not to share it.

I coloured it with promarkers, stamped a second balloon, put diamond glaze on it and cut it out and mounted it with 3d foam.

I am going to enter the card (oh what the heck!) into:

Papertake Weekly: Animal Magic

A Spoonful of sugar: Anything goes

Pile it on: Red, yellow, green & brown.

Flutterby Wednesday: All winged things (teeny tiny bee).

Yummy new stash!

As promised her is a pic of my new bits and bobs! A few of the Penny Blacks were 25% off, so it would have been rude to have left them behind! lol......

I love my new eye shadows! That's what I call them, but they are like perfect pearls from the lovely ladies at Butterfly Kisses.

My huge new Mather Stewart punches were out the box's at first cup of tea stop. I love it at craft fairs stopping for a cups and people watching, every one is admiring their shiny new stash, chatting away all excited - I could do it all day, I love being around happy people it's so infectious.

Well now it's here I best do something with it, other than just look/stroke/smile at it. I sound like a right nutter!

Great day out and exciting news! x

Evening, well you can see my most amazing news, but I'm gona tell you my brilliant day anyway. I want to say the Exeter show was fab, I spent a small fortune (my birthday money all saved up especially for the occasion). I went with my Mum and Emmie, I have not been out with my Mum since June, due to Emmie coming soooooooo early, and it was our first day out (of many) all together and it was brilliant, we even did afternoon tea.

I brought lots of bits, I will post some pics later. The lovely ladies from Butterfly kisses did very well (as per usual) out of me, I love their stand it always inspires me. Then another stand had all Penny Black wood backed stamps at 25% off, so obviously I got a tad carried away, then there is the Mather Stewart punches.

So after a great day out with my 2 fave ladies, I got home, checked my emails only to find Carlyann had emailed me to say I had made it onto the Charisma DT, can you believe it? Out of 176 entry's I was one of 6 new peps chosen. I am so chuffed, I'm still smiling, I am so grateful for the opportunity, and hope I don't let Carlyann down.

Then whilst checking my emails, I have had a business order, and I went out for a consultation last night and got a great big order, so all in all I had one of the best days in ages, and I am chuffed to bits. Hoping the happy/lucky faries stay around. x

Thursday, 23 September 2010

I'm going craft power shopping!

Whop whop - today has finally arrived, all be it I would much rather be asleep in preparation for lots of walking and pretending the crowds are not there! lol But little lady is being good in making sure Mummy does not over sleep! lol Cant be upset as she has just started smiling - and it melts me every time.
Well my first stop will be to see the lovely ladies at the Butterfly Kisses stand, and I have a list of Penny Blacks I cant live without! lol So note to self buy it as soon as I see it with those lovely ladies, as they sold out of so much so quick at Taunton a few months back, I love there cards.
I.m off for a cuppa to kick start the day, it's gona be a long on as I then have a wedding consultation this eve, and the lady wants loads (in her own words) as soon as my new web site is built I will add a link.
Have a great day what ever you do. x

Tuesday, 21 September 2010

An early post!

Morning, I think this is the earliest I have ever posted! lol, my little lady slept through until 5.45am, not bad since she was last fed at 10pm. Hoping for a better day today as she had it about her yesterday!

Anyway, here is a card I made using a Penny Black image, I do love Penny Black images, especially the flowers. I coloured this one with big & juicy ink pad - I have a new found love of these ink pads (my poor pocket) lol.

I used an ek success border punch and two stampin up punches to create the sentiment element. The sentiment is an Elzybells stamp. Talking of Elzybells, it's so sad it's closing down, however they are having a huge 70% off sale, sadly I missed out on the sentiment set I wanted, but I soon got over it as I brought quite a few bears (which I will have to learn to colour!) and girls and bits and bobs so gona start postie stalking.

I am loving this maternity leave life - today's plan is to put together my wish list for the Exeter craft fair on Thursday. I saved my birthday pennies for it!

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black Allsorts: Punches, they are also having a DT call.
Allsorts: Punches.
Your next stamp: With thanks.

Hope you all have a good day.

Penny Black - purple.

Here is a card I made for the Crafters Companion challenge which is a sketch, I love a simple layout, so I had to play along. I used one of my new Penny Black stamps, coloured it with a big and juicy ink pad and added glamour dust to the pollen parts of the flowers. The image was cut out with nesties and mounted using 3d foam pads, I then added sparkly gems to finish.
I am entering this into:
My Time To Craft: Jewelled - they are also having a DT call.

Sun glasses required

lol...... I forgot how much I love putting bold bright colours together, like purple and orange!

I have used a Penny Black stamp I brought ages ago, and loved love loved it as soon as I saw it - then it never saw ink! Shameful or what? Oh well I changed that this afternoon! I stamped her out several times so I will probably colour her in in a load of different combos, so hope not to bore everyone with her. then decoupage the flower, added loads of lovely glamour dust to her wings, and mounted her onto some bazill, having punched the edges with a yummy Mather Stewart border punch, I also mounted the craft work cards sentiment onto a punched circle and punched scalloped circle.

Hope you have all had a good weekend, we managed to do some gardening this weekend! Exciting or what? Counting down the days until the Exeter craft fair : ) but the decisions do I take the pushchair attachment or the pram? What ever happened to what shoes/bag shall I wear?! lol...

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black at Allsorts: Punches - they also have a DT call (good luck)
Allsorts Challenge: Punches
Corrosive Challenge: Clean & dust something off = stamp
Cute Card Thursday: Tweet & flutter - bird.

Saturday, 18 September 2010

Here is a card I made tonight whilst watching/listening to an audience with Phil Collins - he's so good. Anyway, I already had the image coloured, so just put it together. Again its dodgy lighting but I supposed we have to get used to that now : ( 8pm and its dark, I love long light days/evenings - I used to love sitting in a beer garden with friends - how things have changed! lol.

The image is available from Funky Kits, coloured with promarkers, glamour dust added (as its the law! lol) Then added diamond glaze to the tea pot, as it was a bit gloopy! I didn't add it to the cup (must pick some up at the Exeter craft show next week) cut the image out with nesties, embosses the blue bazill with a cuttlebug folder, the corners are a quickutz die, and the ribbon is from my ribbon draw!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake = sketch
Secret crafter = Anything go's.

Thanks for stopping by. x

Sugar Bowl are searching for

Sweeties..... Hurry though as the DT call closes at noon.

Not really sure what I think I am playing at here, but I thought what the heck! Nothing ventured and all!!! So many uber talented peops out there, but at least I am am showing an interest, after all I'm not sure of a Sugar Nellie stamp or 2! lol

Anyways onto my card, I used a Gorjuss Girl stamp, coloured with promarkers, dashed all the dots and other little places with good old glamour dust, cut out with a nestie, mounted onto papermania card stock, which I embossed with a cuttlebug folder, the flowers and brads are from my stash, and the sentiment is craftwork cards.

It's all very simple - but thats me! Dodgy lighting to, so gutted to have realised it was dark at 8pm! Whats that all about, I dont like the long dark days of winter, but never mind.

Good luck to everyone who entered, if you have time to make a card and fancy being considered you can find the details here. x

My little bundle of wonderful

here she is again! My gorgeous little lady Emmie, thought I would share a pic of her, shes doing so well 13 weeks today (or 4 if she had not been in such a hurry! lol) Shes a little guzzler weighing in at 8lb 4oz now.

Apologies for the lack of blogging this weak, we have had a couple of bad days with jabs and the final weaning of milk (for her poorly tummy) how one little person can cry for so many hours is beyond me!!!!! lol

I've also been busy promoting my business and getting it back up and running, I'm not that computer savvy, but trying to build a user friendly website! I have had lots of ideas in recent weeks in ways which to expand so I have also been doing some research, and I think one of my ideas there is a gap in the market where we live! (I really cant be that clever) so all will be revealed very soon. With the news that loads of public sector jobs are at risk it has really kicked my backside into gear!

Hope your all well, and not getting to wet in this miserable weather. On a brighter note how good was the inbetweeners last night? Love it. x

It was Adam's Mum's birthday yesterday and I made this card for her, so similar yet a tad different to what I have been making of late, its quick and simple to make when I have a demanding little diva wanting my attention every time I set foot into my craft room, I think she knows! lol

Introducing my little lady

Well as promised here is a pic of my little lady Emmie. My bundle of wonderful. I am the proudest Mummy in all of Somerset, she is such a feisty little fighter and amazes me every day. She is 10 weeks old now weighing 5lb 15, she was born 9 weeks early, and has been through soooooo much.

I'm sure your asking whats wrong with her hair?! Having spent 5 weeks in intensive/special care she was coming home. Two days before coming home she developed an infection which resulted in her being transferred to Bristol hospital where she had emergency stomach surgery, as she was nil by mouth for 10 days, she had to be fed through a long line (a tube that gos into the vein, better than a cannula), as all her veins had had enough, the last place to get a vein was her head! hence the hair cut! However it is not a big deal as it will grow back, and I would rather have her minus a bit of hair than not have her at all.

Get well soon

Apologies for the dodgy piccy - that time of year is rapidly approaching again, I have noticed the nights are starting to draw in, and the days have been dark : ( I will try and remember to take a better pic tomorrow.

I have made this card for a friend at work who has been really poorly with pneumonia, the poor old love is now at home with a zimmer frame (I can imagine the stick he is getting lol). Yes its a card for a fella, I hope he likes the sparkly blue butterfly - its about as masculine as I could so! lol.... I'm so glad to hear he is on the mend as it was touch and go for a while, and he is never ill.

I saw this sketch a few weeks ago on a challenge blog, and drew it on a post it and stuck it in my pro markers box as I knew I would use it, thank god for post its - they make my world go round! Sad but true...... lol.

Anyway to make this card I used some turquoise card from my stash, stamped a sentiment ran it through the big shot with the dotted cuttlebug folder, then cut a strip of DCWV sparkly yummy paper, created a boarder with a Mather Stewart border punch, and cut a butterfly with another of Marther Stewarts butterfly punches. Then added the sparkly gems to finnish.

I really enjoyed making this card, I have a number of thank you cards to get out for baby gifts, so I am thinking I will make some using this layout only in good old pink!

I am going to enter this card to the following challenges:

Flutterby Wednesday: Butterfly, fairy or angel
Crafty Creations: Butterfly's
Charizma: Die Cuts
Crafty Angels: Something Old, Something New. Old = DCWV papers, new = butterfly punch & embossing folder
Secret Crafter: Blue & Cream
My Time To Craft: Glitter & Glitz
Cupcake: Blue & Green

Stamposaurus Princesses

I'm on a role...... 3 cards in 3 days! Here is a card I used with one of my Stamposaurus stamps I splurged on at a craft fair a few months back, but it has never seen ink (so very rude) lol.....
I coloured it with pro markers, and added lashings of glitter.

Hope you have all had a lovely Sunday, mine has been rather boring - house work ruled the day I'm afraid! Boo, at least I'm on top of it now.

I will post a pic of the girlie soon, those lovely peeps in the hospital shaved her head, and as great as they are at the medical stuff, there was not a lesson in hair cutting! lol She looks a bit like cage fighter Chuck Liddell at the mo, all be it with out the tattoos. lol
I am entering this card to the following challenges:

Another Elzy-sheep!

Well nothing from me for ages then two in two days! lol...... and I have a couple more half done, hoping my mojo has returned, and now we are a bit more settled I can enjoy spending the bit of spare time I have being creative.

Here I used the same Elzybells image as in the previous post, coloured with promarkers, added some diamond glaze to the cups and hats, they are super shiny but the camera in the dodgy dark light did not pick it up. The pretty sparkly paper is DCWV, the card is from my stash (I have decided I have so much yummy card, I really should use it and not just look at it - I can always buy more, right?) The gems are papermania.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A card at long last.......

Whilst my little lady was soundo, I thought I would take the opportunity to get into me new craft room! I thought I would have been spending most of the last 4 weeks in there waiting for her to put in an appearance, however she had other ideas! lol........

Anyways, here is a card I made with my Elzybells stamp, which I coloured with promarkers, and then washed a glitter pen over the hats and cups for a bit of sparkly bling, I mounted the image onto DCWV sparkling paper, then card from my stash, with a craftwork cards sentiment.

I an entering it into the following challenges:

So much to catch up on............

OMG................. So much has been going on in blog land since I have been away! I sat down after having had the nicest shower of my life and I've not moved, all I've done is blog hopped, drooled, and a bit of Internet shopping! Whoops - nice things to arrive when we hopefully bring the little lady home next week. Passion for promarkers blog challenge has some amazing candy, and good old Crafty Emma, has not only gone and set herself up a fantastic shop, but is also looking for a design team, well done Emma - best of luck to you, hope all goes well. x

Thank you & Emmie update

Hello,
Sorry I have not been around again of late, and not gotten back in touch with everyone who have been so kind in sending such lovely messages, they have all been very much appreciated and I am overwhelmed at the support and kindness that has been shown.
We have not been home much in the past 9 weeks, Emmie was due to come home a couple of weeks ago, then 2 days before got a nasty infection. As a result she was transferred to Bristol (on the day she was supposed to come home) for an emergency life saving operation, my poor little lady had developed NEC - I would not wish it on anyone. 2 weeks on she has started feeding again and continues to amaze us everyday.
Without trying to tempt fate, I've come home tonight to collect the pram/car seat from the pram centre tomorrow as the "H" word was mentioned today with the hope of it being next week, and should the magical day finally arrive I want to be ready!
When I go back tomorrow I'm going to take a wad of images and me pro markers and colour away, I've missed crafting loads recently and cant wait to get back to it, I went to a craft fair not long before she arrived and I have some uninked rubber - now that's just wrong! lol......
Looking forward to visiting you all soon and getting back to some kind of normality.
Hope life is treating you kind.
Sally. x

My baby has arrived - 9 weeks early

Hello,
Hope you are all well, despite being back in touch with the world, I'm not as my gorgeous little lady decided to arrive early.

Emmie was born Monday 15Th June at 7.17am weighing 3lb 6, 8 days after my waters went - and many nights in hospital.
Obviously I wont be around for a while again, she is in the special care baby unit, fingers crossed she continues to be a little fighter.

Will post a pic soon. x

Whoo I'm in touch with the world again!

Hello Hello,
I hope everyone is well.
It's soooooooooooooo lovely to be back in touch with the world, I cant wait to go blog hopping later, I have missed the Internet so much, more than I thought possible.
Sky were so naughty, they told us a couple of weeks disruption, which turned into 2 months! The bigger the company the worse the customer services!
Well we are in, settled, just decorating to be done now, I'm sat here waiting for our new sofas to be delivered, up at this time on my days off! Oh well, plenty to do.....................
As for the baby, it's cooking nicely, bump is growing, and 30 days of work to go - I am liking the count down, (6 working weeks) and if baby comes early - then even sooner! Fingers crossed, as long as it's all healthy I don't mind.
Looking forward to getting round to seeing every ones loveliness over the weekend, enjoy the sunshine. x

Hello, Thank you and EBay goodies

Hello ladies, hope you are all well, the sun is shining here today and were off out for lunch.
Just wanted to say a huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who posted such lovely kind messages, I still cant believe I will be a Mummy in August!
Sorry once again for being a bad blogger, its all go here at the mo, I have made a few cards believe it or not, just given them to the special person before taking a pic! So daft!
Well were busy sorting out getting ready to move, no date yet but it will be soon. I have decided to be ruthless - as painful as it is lol.
I have listed on EBay a load of Nestabilities, Copics, Stampin Up ink pads and stamps, Penny Black stamps. I'm thinking baby will have most of my attention, and my gorgeous stash deserves attention and love. lol......................
Hope your all well and having a lovely weekend. x

I'm having a baby! Whop whop

Hello ladies, I'm so sorry for being the worlds baddest blogger of late! I have a very good reason, I'm so excited to announce I'm having a baby - due in August.
I've done nothing but eat, sleep and work! Lovely.......
I'm so lucky I've not been sick or ill - just stupidly tired - more so than I ever could have imagined! I'm so in love with my bed, its not been strange to be in it at 8.30pm! lol
The tiredness has pretty much gone now - so hoping for a bit of normality to return, I've missed playing with my stash and visiting you all, I have popped in now and then, but looking forward to lots of catching up.
Hope your all well. xxx
