Snowflakes everywhere

What a day, its not stopped raining, this afternoon, while my little girl was at nursery, and my lil man slept!  I have been playing with snowflakes!

Here is a quick card I could not help but make for this weeks Less is more challenge.  I've already entered once, so I hope a second is ok.

I rummaged round places that have not seen much daylight in my craft room, and I found some silver card which has a rainbow finish, it looks very pretty as a snowflake!  The sentiment is from a doodlebug set.

I am really enjoying making shaped cards at the moment, however this looks a bit scew wiff, good job I've not stuck the back on yet! lol

Apologies, the light is terrible today! x

Where are the days going, my lil man is now 3 weeks old, it feels like he has always been here!

Hope you have enjoyed the bit of lovely sunshine that we had last week, it was so lovely to see it, it makes everyone so happy.  The theme of this weeks challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop is very apt given the weather, as it it:

ICE CREAM COLOURS

Yum, now which ones to choose?!  I went with my fave Mr Whippy, and a bit of raspberry sauce, I would normally have a flake in it turning it into a good old 99.  But not for this challenge! lol

Well in making this card I broke my paper chomper! as you can probably tell by the dodgy angle on the rounded corner!  So no improvising again! I need to raid someones fishing stash for some super super glue and hope I can fix it.

To make this card I used a penny Black sentiment stamp, stamped in silver versa colour ink and embossed with clear powder.  I used a memory box die on the white card and a Die-Namics butterfly die, the sparkly gems are from my stash.

I will be back later to enter some challenges.

Please excuse my lack/slack blogging I am in and out of hospital so much at the mo I don't know if I am coming or going.  What I do know is the car could drive itself! lol and I should just buy a parking space at the hospital as it would probably cost considerably less! : S Oh well not long to go now.

Over at Less is more this week the theme is paper piecing, I love this style of paper crafting, its so much fun, and with lovely papers the options are endless.
Any how I brought this stamp a couple of weeks ago at the papercraft show in Taunton.  The lovely papers are by Doodlebug.  I was so excited to try out this stamp and make this card I didnt even think about the less is more aspect!  Duh as the title is in the give away!!!  Not to worry I am sure I have another cheeky stamp or 2 or 3 to make another card from! lol

My Mum's Craft Shop - DT - About the boys

I'm so so sorry for being soooooooooo late in posting this - I do have a very good reason for being late!!!  I've been in hospital - not many of you will know we are due to have a baby in 4 weeks, as our lil girl was born so early we are considered to be high risk!  We have gone way past the time she was born, but non the less we cant count our chickens just yet.  So I had a few days in hospital watching all these lovely ladies come in, and go through to have their baby's.

Anyway because of all the dramas this week, I am late in posting (SO SORRY) the theme over at My Mum's Craft Shop is:

ABOUT THE BOYS

Well what better excuse to get out my shiny new Die-namics stamp and die combo set called Let's Toast - I can see this set getting used loads, for allsorts of occasions.

Sorry the photos are a bit pants - dies are so fab when you have fat swollen fingers!  As grateful as I am to be pregnant, I am looking forward to having some feeling back in my right hand and being able to colour again : )

Two more at less is more

What a lovely sunny day it is here in sunny Somerset today, its so lovely to see the sun, I had forgotten what it looks like! lol
Well last nigh I made a couple of cards for 2 very special lil people.  I met them and their Mums whilst my lil girl was in special care having been born too soon - we were all long stayer's!  And we are all still in touch, and hopefully friends for life.
Well the birthdays are starting to roll round - so here are two I made.
Both the card were using Die-namics number die - I have cut the die up so they are no longer all connected, the star is from the die-namics set used in the previous post.  The sentiments are from my stash, the blue paper is from the new oh so lush Doodlbug pad, and the pink is a strawberry sheet from DCWV Nanas stack, its lovely and sparkly.  For the pink one I also went round the edges with glamour dust for a bit of extra bit of girly sparkly bling.  The white upper level was mounted with 3d foam pads.
I would also like to enter these into:

Less is more: Baby or child
Simon Says Stamp:   Clean and simple.
Cute Card Thursday:  Touch of sparkle.
Truly Scrumptious: Anything Goes.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago in preparation, it is based on a layout from my book of sketch's that I keep.

It is a plain blue card blank, with die cut clouds (I think I should have embossed these) the sentiment is from a My Favourite things stamp set.  The DSP is from an Echo Park pad.
